Pine Hills movers: quick answers

Legend Movers 4 You is a family-owned Orlando moving company, founded in 2015 (USDOT 3595245), that moves homes and apartments in Pine Hills, just west of Orlando. Pine Hills is about 12 miles from our office at 1308 Rose Blvd, roughly 22 minutes without traffic. Call 407-440-1423 (24/7) or request a free quote.

How much do movers cost in Pine Hills?

Local moves are billed by the hour. Starting at $165/hr for 2 movers, 2-hour minimum. Your written estimate is based on how much you are moving and access at both homes. Longer moves elsewhere in Florida get a flat-rate written quote. Call 407-440-1423 or ask for a free quote.

Can you move a small apartment or a few rooms?

Yes. One-bedroom apartments and partial moves are a big part of what we do. See small moves. The 2-hour minimum still applies.

Do you offer storage?

Yes. We move your belongings into a storage unit you rent, and back out when you’re ready. We don’t run our own storage facility.

One of Orlando’s first suburbs

Pine Hills is an unincorporated community just west of Orlando, with 66,111 people in the 2020 census. It started in 1953, when the first subdivisions, Robinswood and Pine Ridge Estates, went up along the new Pine Hills Road north of Colonial Drive (SR 50). Through the 1960s and 1970s it grew north toward Silver Star Road and east toward Indian Hill Road.

That history shapes the move. Many Pine Hills homes are older single-story houses, and older homes can have narrower doorways and tighter hall turns than new builds. The area also has a lot of apartments, including complexes built in the mid-1990s on the old Silver Pines Country Club land. So a Pine Hills move might be a full family house or a second-floor walk-up.

Local know-how

Older homes, walk-ups and busy corridors

What helps a Pine Hills move go smoothly.

Older doorways and hallways

Homes from the 1950s to 1970s often have narrower doors and tight hall turns. We take apart beds, tables and sectionals when they won’t fit through whole, and pad door frames before we carry anything.

Apartment move rules

Complexes may set move hours, ask you to reserve a loading spot, or want a certificate of insurance. Ask the leasing office early and we send the COI ahead of time.

Parking on busy roads

Silver Star Road and West Colonial Drive are busy, and many apartments sit right off them. Tell us where the truck can safely park at both ends.

Getting in and out of Pine Hills

Pine Hills sits between I-4 and SR 408, which runs east–west just south of the community, so most moves to downtown Orlando, MetroWest or the west suburbs are short. Downtown is less than 5 miles east. West Colonial Drive, known locally as “car row” for its dealerships, and Silver Star Road carry most of the traffic. A morning start usually beats the afternoon rush.

Moving out to Ocoee, Winter Garden or MetroWest is a common local move from here. All of them are close enough to bill by the hour. If you are leaving Central Florida for somewhere else in Florida, the move gets a flat-rate written quote instead. See Florida statewide moving.

Before a Pine Hills move

  • Move hours and loading spot from your leasing office
  • Certificate of insurance, if your complex asks
  • Doorway or hallway tight spots you know about
  • Furniture that needs to come apart
  • Where the truck can park at both homes
  • Boxes packed and sealed before we arrive
